In my opinion, I find the Japanese voice actors to be better and rarely ever bad. But it isn't necessarily that that I find to be so good about them, its that they seem to be much better at finding a tone of voice that suits a character. They have no shame in getting an ambiguous actor to play an ambiguous gender, whereas over here not only will the voice actor be god awful, but the voice will just not seem to suit the character.

Also, I prefer to have a choice between the voices, not just english and not just japanese. I agree with TRiP.

But I'm guessing that by voice they mean that it will just be like little sounds or whatever. Like in the original games you could hear that "What the" (maybe I'm the only person). I'm guessin it's just like Zelda games where Link hasn't said a word in like ever and no one gave a rats ass cuz Zelda games are too awesome.

I just thought about something. Maybe NiGHTS'll talk like how they did Midna. That wouldn't be so bad.

Keep in mind, NiGHTS can change his voice however he wants. He can sound how he does in the game to Helen and Will, and sound different to me and/or you.

Well.. that's more of an assumption from what we know of NiGHTS and his shape shifting and stuff. But a lot of times they don't put things that complicated into games because a lot of people can't grasp stuff like that. I don't remember it saying anything about his voice anywhere.

Well, if it turns out it's a voice we don't like, there's always the mute button !

That being said, Justin Timberlake also has a soft voice...hmm...maybe too much attitude, though. He voiced Arthur in the Shrek films, didn't he? How did he sound in those films as i've yet to see the two sequels to Shrek. ^^;

First off!*squee* I'm REALLY excited about the idea of Reala returning! He was such an epic baddie!

Second of all; I'm actually excited(not dreading) the voice acting part. If done corectly it could REALLY add a new level of depth to this game. 4Kids has dropped all their anime titles at least and I think SEGA has stopped using them to do their voices. So there IS A CHANCE it could be awesome. If NiGHTS has a voice that should equal ALL the kids having voices.XD

I now wonder if HElen and KE-er, Bi-,er, I mean William will have British Accents(*lol*) or regular American accents. The understandable worry is video-game voice acting can be hit or miss. ESPECIALLY if it's not an RPG title where there's an emphasis on dialogue.

You know, it's not just 'how his voice will sound' but it's also 'what retarded sh!t will he end up saying'. Because as far as i could tell, voice acting in SEGA games tend to be bellow par, and half of that is due to what they're saying, not just how they're saying it.
PSU is a really REALLY good example. "little sister" "big brother" "little sister". Nobody address's family members like that, it just makes the game more cheesy. And since this new game is obviously aimed at children then it's most probably going to contain really childish dialogue. And that pisses me off. I would prefer no speech at all.

*sigh* oh and 'whoopty-doo', Reala's in it. I bet his voice acting is going to be the worst because they're so obviously going to try and portray him as a 'really bad guy' so god only knows what they're going to make him say to give off that effect.

On Reala returnıng, ood stuff. At least theres some more old faces showıng up. Plus my Reala re-desıgn competıtıon would go to pot otherwıse : P

On the voıce actor, bah. Lıke all of us Id prefer ıt wıthout, but seeıng as he does, I only have one hope. That he speaks lıke he does ın those Storybook translatıons Thrıppas been doıng for me ; lıke a gentleman, proper and formal. It goes wıth hıs attıre and would sound better than some half arsed sonıc rıp off ; P
