First 4 Figures Statue

Hello everyone!

It has been a long, and I mean a LONG, time since I have been on these forums (I don't think I even posted anything now that I think about it). Its been a long time since I have really dabbled in anything NiGHTS related really, but I wanted to get my old account up again and start becoming a more active member of the community to my favorite SEGA video game.

So, a few days ago, First 4 Figures announced they were making a Dr. Robotnik statue. This reminded me that many moons ago, they did a poll to see what character we would want to see made in the future, with NiGHTS coming in second or third place (it was a long time ago so its hard to remember exactly). Do you think that, seeing they have been making the classic Sonic statues for this long now, that we may finally get that NiGHTS statue? I have always felt that NiGHTS was a franchise that was lacking severely in the merchandise department (stuff that isn't a pain to find that is), so I think this would be a wonderful change of pace. What do you guys think? 

I hope so. I won't have the extra cash to buy one, but just having it finally exist would be awesome in itself.

Gosh, if only Sega could have re-released the NiGHTS plushes. It'll never happen, but I can dream of seeing them alongside Sonic plushes at Toys R Us. Now that would be something.

I go to F4F's website every now and then just to see if they've finally made a NiGHTS figure. I've seen many models they've made that interested me but a NiGHTS one would finally get me to buy something from their site. I'd have no other choice.

Time to finally make my first post.

Since I started following F4F they've launched Vyse and Beat figures, which were ranked 3rd and 4th on that poll.

Yesterday they also posted on their facebook page (which is way more active than their forum) saying they would be posting a teaser of a figure they are making in 2015 each day between 25-30th december.

Today post was Lan Di, who is first in the poll.

Considering that NiGHTS is now the only one in the top 4 without a figure or annoucement, surely one of the 4 remaining posts must be them.

I hope so anyway...

Well that certainly caught me off guard. But this is so exciting! I have never bought anything from First 4 Figures before, so this will be a new experience for me if I think I am able to afford it.

But of course! Only 500 of them though, 3 of which are mine and my friends' now

I would totally get the exclusive light up edition of the statue, but I am fine with the regular one. Now, I just need my new credit card to come in the bloody mail already so I can actually buy the thing. It is also a lot cheaper than I thought it would be, so that makes me very happy! 

So are you all happy with how it turned out or were you hoping for something different? The only complaint I really have is that the base could have been better. 

Apart from the yellow jewel which theyve already got sorted, the only thing I noticed is that NiGHTS has wrists.

They can't really have magical floating hands on a figure though so thats not really a problem

I really like how they added the moon in the background too, lit up or not.

Edit: Also just to check. Does everyone else's order say "pending"? Just want to make sure I did actually order properly...

SO EXCITED!  I get to put my money where my NiGHTS-loving mouth is and get this GEORGIOUS LIGHT-UP STATUE.  I've totally preordered.  I'm even posting here on the forums because I can't contain my excitement!
My only criticism would be that I'd kind of prefer classic-NiGHTS.  I haven't actually played JoD!  But I don't really care because JoD-NiGHTS is still a quality design and it makes me happy.

Yeah it's pretty cool how although they chose the JoD outfit, the pose and moon and everything is very classic NiD. I agree about the wrists, they should be made less obvious.. also the base, I would've expected maybe something more suggestive of the Ideya Palace or maybe Twin Seeds or Bellbridge. The stars base is nice, but kind of plain.

I was really expecting one of them to be the base myself. The strange star base REALLY threw me off at first, but now I think its pretty obvious that they were trying to replicate this:



Once I realized that, I pretty much nerded all over the place. I absolutely love how they basically combined the pose and atmosphere of this old and iconic piece of artwork with the more detailed and newer JoD design for NiGHTS. Its a wonderful artistic choice that celebrates the NiGHTS of old and the NiGHTS now, and I love it. I really hope my credit card gets here in time before it sells out!!!

I know, that's one of my favorite NiGHTS images so it was cool and unexpected to see the moon motif as the light-up area. But of course that picture shows NiGHTS floating, and the statue needs a base of some kind. The stars were what they came up with, I suppose an alternate could have been a cloud assemblage like in the artwork, but maybe that wouldn't have looked good.

Pre-ordered the Exclusive version, very happy that they decided to go forward with this statue. Now...we wait.
