I want the podcast under the PODCAST section on my MP3 player in my cell phone, but I don't know how to download them to the card. Is there a button that will do it? Or do I have to drag and drop URL's? What do I do? I want this fabulous Podcast on my phone on the go, because I don't have a laptop and bringing my 40-pound computer everywhere with me would look a little silly, don't you think?

Well I already have that on my iTunes. Not that I have an iPod.

Well, I've downloaded my favorite shows to my computer, now all I have to do is attach my card to the adaptor, the adaptor to the card reader, the card reader to the computer, put the 'casts in my phone, then disconnect the card reader, take out the adaptor, pull out the card, put the card back in my phone, turn my phone back on (cause it needs to be off otherwise I could corrupt my music), and buy a new adaptor for my headphones because my old one broke when I used it to fish Play-Doh out of my computer speakers. Don't ask.

LOL - playdoh sure does get in some strange places!! - im going to shell out £190 tommorrow on an ipod touch. tis a little pricey but it does mean i should be able to keep posting on these forums when i leave home in a few days. Exciting stuff - should give me plenty of room for the old podcast too. (sorry - dont mean to brag.) - I would sent you my old shuffle if it would make it easier for you to get your NiGHTS fix!!

No, I live in the US, sorry.

The army? I hope this is of your own free will. I'd hate to think you were some sort of delinquent.

hahaha - no i'm a very good boy! Its just something I will regret not doing if I dont get around to doing it now!! Tis a shame your in the US - I could still send it if you really want it. I have a few days before I go to stay with a friend for a few days before i go - if not, if there is anyone else reading this that lives in the UK who wants a free ipod shuffle - you have only a few days to pm me!!

I bought that ipod touch today - its awesome. Only problem is the touch screen gets fingerprints all over it, but its otherwise great. was checking these forums on it earlier! :)

You could! Only problem is I don't think my mother will approve of me sending my address to a total stranger.....

And even if I did and you get it to me, she'd be like "Now who sent this to you?"

"My friend in the UK...."

Hahaha - fair enough - I would be exactly the same if the tables were turned! You never know who your giving details like that to. I'll give it a few days if there is someone else on the forums who wants it. Anyhow - the original point of the thread was to get the podcast on your phone - any luck yet?

No, I tried with all my might, but my crap box of a computer (expensive paperweight, that's all this thing is good for!) won't read the damn card reader. I'm stuck waiting for an hour while my phone records it, then listening to it later. My phone has crappy quality voice recordings.

ooooohhh dear!!! I used to do this with music tracks that i really really liked, but you can almost guarantee that 30 secs from the end a bloody great ice-cream truck will stop outside the house or a firework sets off every car alarm within a 2 mile radius and ruins the whole thing!!

That or my parents don't know the meaning of the word "privacy."

2 minutes before the end:

"HEY! DINNERTIME!"

"Dad, I was recording something!"

"Well, record it after dinner!"

"It's an hour long!"

"Oh. Sorry. DINNERTIME! Now!"

"TTT_____TTT;;;;;;;;"

Mmkay, I feel like a colossal idiot for having to ask this question. *Rubs temples* Sorry if this is blatantly obvious somewhere, has been asked before, or shouldn't be asked here (I don't want to clutter the board with another thread when this is a similar topic.) But how can the Podcast MP3s be downloaded? Is this something only available via the old site, yet to be added, or am I not doing it right? I'd like to be able to take the shows with me on my IPod, so any help on this issue of mine would be greatly appreciated.

"Why can I hear a man singing 'I'm So Pretty' from your headphones?"

"Um, no reason O.o"

If you click on a page with each podcast episode, there's a URL link under the player. Copycutpaste that into a browser and save it, or save as link or something.

To be honest I'm not 100% sure because i dont have to download my own shows :( SOMEONE? ANYONE?
It does have to do with the url though.

D’oh can't believe I never noticed that. Thanks, TRiPPY! I seem to be on the right track now.

Now; Upon converting the URL to a link and ‘Save Target'-ing, the resulting file is only a few seconds long. Wizeman's hilarious singing aside, this is not a good thing. Does anyone happen to have any thoughts on how to ensure a full MP3?

Personally, I'd recommend using FireFox's DownloadHelper Add-on. Granted, you have to wait for the whole podcast to buffer before it can be fully downloaded. Not that I'm complaining. >> Heh heh...

If that doesn't work...um...I dunno. Memorize the podcasts? O_o ....Deeply singing "I'm So Pretty" - oh my gosh. Bad SQ, bad!

Thanks for the help, but it appears my computer has mended itself and has properly downloaded the file. I'm not sure why.

For any other people that have the same problem I had, this is what I did:

Copy the URL from below the Podcast.

Find somewhere to put the URL so you can 'Save Target' it. Somewhere where it converts the text into a link for you. I used my account notes on a Proboards site, but you'll have to figure something else out for yourself. But for goodness sakes don't spam some random board with the URL just so you get the link o.x

'Save Target' the link, obviously.

Since apparently the file can be temperamental, test it out before putting it on an appliance. The file should be around 60 MB, depending on which show you choose.

'Add File' to your Library, and you should have it. If you're lucky and no Shleep have munched the file in half or something.
