This forum lacks threads D8!

So... what's your favorite published book, and what's your favorite free story x3?!

My favorite Published Book has got to be Harry Potter. Nice story, not too kiddy (yet still a tad bit), some lucid dream elements in the 5th book, and magic 8D!

My favorite Free Story has got to be WTAHM (No, I'm not trying to be a kiss-up :| ). I haven't got to reading WTAHM2 yet, but I'll be snoopin around for it x3. Although, I gotta admit, I spent litterally hours reading the 1st half of the first chapter O.O! And Imma fast reader XDD;; .

What about yours? Published, then Free to read :3.

XD; awww thanks, its the worlds shortest most unfinished overrated story ever *lmao* (that i started when i was 14 eeew), but due to other things i've been working on lately i've also oddly ended up working on wtahm as well (without meaning to) (sort of) (you'll understand in a few months time when imagni.com opens). Thanks *hugs*

I actualy stole some books from the trash today from before 1910 and the 1800's so i'll read them and see if theyre any good. Mmmm classic writing. I should sell them, Charles Dickens and Walter Scott go for bigbux.

*will keep reading until she finds something to add here*

You're welcome ^___^! Imma looking forward to reading more |D, even if that means stayin up all night and skipping school for reading the rest of the book 8D! You'll definitely see me on the iMAGNi forums, under another nickname a lot of people don't know, and stuff like that.

Ooh... Charles Dickens. I forgot about him. I love his books as well ^_^! And, yep, they are pretty expensive; In particular, the hard copies.

Same here x3.

My favorite published book is Dune. I'm a big fan of those novels in general, excluding the garbage written by that Brian Herbert creep. Silverwing is probably my second favorite book.

I don't typically read unpublished work.

One of my favourite books right now is 'The House Of Leaves', because it is so utterly unsettling, and just so damn clever. Possibly the best use of typography EVER. It's huge, it's crazy and it's just awesome. One of the best pieces of horror anything I've experienced in a while. Can't believe it was the guy's first novel.

As for free stuff, it's been a long time since I read much internet fic stuff, so I have no idea.

Hmm... I have a whole list of favorite books. HERE IT IIISSS:
- A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
- The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub
- Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones (MUCH better than the Miyazaki version)
- The Great Gatsby by Scott Fitzgerald (sp?)
- Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
- The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde (plays count, right?)
- Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire
- Son of a Witch by Gregory Maguire
- The Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams
- The Stand by Stephen King
- Le Fantome de l'Opera by Gaston Leroux (because the English translation SUCKS)

As for unpublished, I'm not trying to kiss up either, but I really do enjoy WtaHM... even though it's only two chapters long so far. XD
TRiPPY, you have an amazing writing style. I find it to be very poetic and it flows smoothly. Y U NO GET PUBLISHED? D:

Hmm... My favorite published work would be "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH" by Robert C. O'Brien. I've always found that book to be really intriguing on how rats go about their daily lives and how Mrs. Frisby tries to help the Rats of NIMH while taking care of her sick son.

I've also been a huge fan of the Redwall series. I'm into the political novels by John Grisham as well.

Unfortunately, I haven't read any unpublished work yet...
