What is everyones favourite piece of NiGHTS memorabilia?

Mine has to be the UK Christmas NIGHTS Into Dreams sampler disc that I bought in the town of Castleford (oop North) in Yorkshire, when someone gave me the heads up that the owner had somehow gotten copies. I think she charged me a fiver for it lol. Naughty lady. I was a bit gutted when Sega Saturn Magazine gave it away free, although pleased that other people could experience it.

But I loved the graphic design and illustration on the CD case and the pic of Claris talking to a Nightopian.

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on the Sega Saturn magazine with the NIGHTS review. boy did I have fun reading that before I got my Saturn for christmas.

The storybook is pretty cool. Be nice for Sega to print an English language version.

I recieved a sealed Nights Into Dreams Tiger Electronic LCD game for Xmas; a gift from my other half! :) :) :)

It's from 1997 and while I'm quite tempted to take it out of the packaging, I doubt the LCD gameplay will in any way resemble Nights and would rather keep it in brand new, sealed condition.

Still very curious to know if anyone else owns this or has played it...

My two favorite pieces of NiGHTS merchandise would have to be the Sega Saturn game and the little Tiger handheld game that I have.

I really love my PaPetch. Small, but special to me and cute as all get out. :)

The original Saturn game is all I have. However, I did go to a convention a while back and there was the game and Analog controller still in the shrinkwrap. I could've bought that, but I don't own an analog controller myself yet, and I didn't want to destroy its value or have it taunt me.

I have a Journey of Dreams poster in my bedroom back home that I will always cherish. It came in a pack of free posters that GameStop was giving out for free back in 07. In fact, I only learned about that poster because someone was kind enough to post the info about the poster pack on this very forum. I wish I could personally thank them again but I'm too lazy to search right now.

And next up is the NiGHTS storybook that came with the PS2 NiGHTS Dreampack. Many times I have told myself that I would learn Japanese just to read it but I'd always stop studying it and then I'd start all over again. Anyway, that book is truly a rarity and I will always appreciate having it.

THE GUY THAT BOUGHT THE BETA

It was honestly a toss-up between the beta disc and the promotional pillowcase (because come on, a NiGHTS pillowcase? What more do you want?!), but the beta won out in the end. Not because of what it is, but because of what it meant.

Though I'm nothing but a lurker anymore thanks to my continued heavy involvement in another, erm, community, I still have a vivid memory of one of the biggest gambles I ever took in my life and how it paid off. About six years ago I put a lot of faith in the regulars of this fandom by volunteering quite literally my college-student life's savings to purchase a pre-release build of NiGHTS into Dreams, which was thought to have been discarded after its use. A shady online transaction followed, but about a week later this disc arrived in the mail. Penniless, frantic, and distraught, I put a small donate button on the forums and prayed I could recoup 25 bucks for gas money to get home that weekend.

What happened next was nothing short of a miracle. In the ensuing month, over 40 of you chipped in enough to almost completely recover the cost of the beta.

This disc still sits displayed in a case on my shelf, with handwritten thank-you letters acting as box art. I had never quite seen, much less experienced, what a caring and devoted community could do when they pulled together to achieve something they truly wanted. Even today I'm still amazed by the generosity of the community when we were given a single, narrow chance to reclaim our prized piece of gaming history. You all helped make this community one of the best I've ever seen, and I've never been prouder to call myself a part of it.

I have the black pillowcase from the competition. Apart from that and the actual game, I don't have any merchandise. It's the softest pillowcase I have as well as being an awesome design. I've never noticed my dreams improving in any way, though...
