I think a great villain for the next Batman would be Black Mask. With all the chaos Joker caused to
Spoiler, I think it would be a great time for the King of Gotham to step in. It doesn't hurt that he despises Bruce Wayne, something that could add an interesting plot for the sequel.
Catwoman is also a welcome possibility so long as she's handled right.
Black Mask was aprently in the original script for The Dark Knight anywaaaaay, so it's possible.
