I finally bought this game yesterday, after two weeks of excitement and....

THE BEST KART RACER EVAAAAAAAAAA!

In all seriousness though, kart racers don't get much better than that. I have Mario Kart Wii, and it doesn't live up to ASR as much as one might think. The characters are just badass *cough* Jacky *cough*, and the tracks are just a delight. The only problem I have with the game are those damn Super Monkey Ball tracks. Not that they're poorly designed or anything, just that I hate the sudden twists and turns! Seriously, flying into a wall every two seconds is not fun. On the Monkey Target track, I got confused as to where to go when you go up those dual ramps, and ended up in last place, about one minute behind everyone else.

And of course, NiGHTS not being playable. Let's just hope that SEGA decide to put him in as DLC. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

It's a little too early for DLC to be available yet, the game has only been out for nearly two weeks yet, give it some time. And the DLC won't be on the disk, it'll be available through the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and Playstation Store.

Honestly, I have no idea what this person is saying, it doesn't even make sense.

They even said the All-Star moves were crappy because they only put you in 5th place from 8th. Isn't that a good thing?

The worst thing was that they deducted points just because Shadow is in the game. How is that even logical? I actually sent them an email, saying how bad that review was. Oh God I hope it gets published in the magazine.

I have just read what is, I believe, the WORST review ever for a game. In Xbox 360 magazine (not the official one), they rated the game a 5/10. Now, in the summary they wrote this. If anyone can tell what the hell this is talking about, I will give them a quid:

' A poor start, cheating middle and so-so end lead only to disappointment, and confusion over what should have been the primary gimmick. It's not exactly Shenmue 3....'

What. The. Heck. I do not understand how a racing game can relate to Shenmue. EPIC FAIL.

And the whole review seems to be totally about Ryo.

On the good side, though, I have something really great to tell you all. I was reading the same magazine, and I came across an ad for NowGamer.com. It had a huge montage of video game characters on it, and NiGHTS was on it! Unfortunately, it was all faded out so you couldn't see it, along with several other characters, like Pacman. Still, at least they still consider NiGHTS one of the best video game characters ever, and hasn't been forgotten.

Urgh, it really irritates me when people want something to happen, but don't even make an effort to do it themselves and let everybody else do all the work.

For goodness sakes, if you haven't already sent in an email, and don't have a good enough reason for not doing so, I suggest you get your heads out of your arses, and get typing. It only takes 3 minutes, tops. Is 3 minutes of your life too much to spare?

Well, the demo finally finished downloading last night, and oh. My. Gosh. This game is amazing, and considering it's the demo, i'm certain the final version will be even better. Me, my brother, and his friend took turns on it, and we had a right laugh, unlike Mario Kart. I dunno why, but you don't quite get those laughs on Mario Kart as you do on ASR. I was laughing my head off the whole time, and that never happens to me on video games.

As the for the announcer, I was dreading it, but oh my God that guy is sound. He deserves a medal! It's cool, because my brother usually finds cheesy stuff annoying and he hates it, but he loves him. So do I. That guy needs a Facebook appreciation group!

I have but one thing to say : "Thank God my brother asked for an Xbox 360 for christmas!" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

And, on the subject of theme parks, I might advise you to go to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, along with the Universal Orlando Resort, Islands Of Adventure, and Seaworld. They are the GREATEST theme parks ever invented, and if you think Alton Towers is good, my God you've got a surprise coming. I'll give a few examples:

Dinosaur (Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park) (This one has the lights on, when usually, it's kind of in the dark)

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster - Starring Aerosmith (Disney's Hollywood Studios) (Sorry it's a bit dark)

The Incredible Hulk Coaster (Islands Of Adventure) (one of the best rides I've ever been on)

Splash Mountain (Magic Kingdom - Walt Disney World)

(One of the best flume rides ever!)

Lol, I just remembered that the theme song for Alton Towers is part of the theme song for The Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog XD 'In the Hall of the Mountain King' FTW!

Because it's not technically a proper loop-de-loop roller coaster. It's a spinning one, where you sit in a circular shaped vehicle, 2 people facing one way and 2 the other. You spin, and drop, and you bounce against the sides I think. It used to be a ride called Spinball Whizzer, but they're now re-branding it to be a Sonic ride called Sonic Spinball.

DREAMCAST? Oh, that is just bad with a capital B.

As for the Pepsi Max, me, Mum, Dad, and my brother, Alex, went to holiday to Blackpool in 2004, and we got to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, found out the wristband prices were £25 per person, and my Mum decided 'we're NOT paying for that'. So um, no, I haven't been on it. XD I'd love to go on it though. And In Fusion. That thing looks freakin' awesome.

Black Hole and Thunderlooper are gone now, I think. I sh!t myself on The Haunted House, but I was 6 at the time, lol.

Ooh, ooh, do you remember that Toyland Tours ride? You go in a boat, and you go through a toy factory thing, and at the end somewhere, there's a massive Sonic figure, which taps it's foot, and there's loads of TVs playing Sonic CD. Good times.

They don't need to make a coaster, they could just rebrand Air, because you're facing the floor and you 'fly' on it. So if they made it NiGHTS themed, it would make perfect sense.

However, I think it's really unlikely since people like Air as it is, and Alton Towers isn't a Sega themed park, (or themed on anything else for that matter.) so maybe they'll only have one Sega themed attraction.

Which is a shame, because Air rethemed into a NiGHTS ride would be epic.

Just so you know guys, this isn't an actual loop-de-loop coaster like The Incredible Hulk coaster or anything, it's a spinning one with drops, much like the Primeval Whirl at Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort. I've not been on Spinball Whizzer myself, but I've seen videos, and it's not a typical rollercoaster.

Which raises the question: If Sega have rebranded Spinball Whizzer into Sonic Spinball, do you think they might just rebrand Air into a NiGHTS ride? (For those who don't know, Air is a coaster where you face the floor, so it's like you're flying, and I think this one has loops as well.) Certainly possible.

Anyway, OMFG YESH! I'm so very happy and ecstatic that NiGHTS is finally in this game! We should all be so proud of ourselves, that we've actually managed to change something in a video game.

This is a MASSIVE achievement, not 100% what we wanted, but as has been said before, the possibly for DLC has been raised, if anything. I still have complete faith in the campaign, and this is NOT the end.

Now, all the haters of the campaign, and NiGHTS in general, have to make do with NiGHTS in their face EVERY race they go on. I likes. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Now, they HAVE to put the NiGHTS fanbase in the credits. They just have to.
