Gobez's voice? Tottaly agree on that one... it's completly awesome... so manly and... deep! That's what I alwasy imagined him sounding like. I have to wonder if he got that voice from his mom's side of the family, though.

Me? Totally!

Cecil and Kuja all the way! Kuja isn't that high of a level yet, but my Cecil is mastered... so, yeah... I'm currently working on getting all of his best equipment. "Beneath the light... comes judgement!"

I really enjoy this game, even though alot of the characters a bit OOC for my tastes (Cecil and Globez run around saying and doing things I can't imagine either of them doing, and I have a problem with Terra and Onion Knight, too.). I love the voice acting... my top two VAs are in this game... Mr.Lowenthal and Mr. Yong Bosch, Cecil Harvey and Firion, respectively.

I wouldn't say mastering every character is worth it... it's better to a have a few you're awesome as, though I do recommend getting everyone to be level 50 plus... even if it is a pain in the ass. Well, I love the story, unlike Castlevania: Judgement, it does a good job of bringing them all together in one place and for a cause... however, I have a hard time beleiving they would all get along as well as they do. Oh well, it's not as if this is really a "canon" for the worlds. As I have said.... Cecil is OOC (and so are others).

Oh, and Kefka reminds me of the joker.

Oh, and anyone have stragies for beating a high-leveled Bartz?

Resident Evil and Devil May Cry, amoung others. I am also of the opinion that the rating system is bad anyway. Things like Final Fantasy VII should have an 'M' rating.

Anyway, my parents don't really care, and I still love games with plot, as evidenced by my love of all things even remotely RPG related. It hasn't really had an affect on me other than that I can withstand gore a bit better than alot of girls my age (in my town).

XD So... I hope that was helpful.

I actually got carded in this one place once for trying to buy an "M" gmae...

@ Nemiode

Overall, the stroy of VI is better than that of IV, but it lacks real focus on a main character, and that bugs me. I also think that some of the characters need impprovment, specifically Terra and Locke. I've played (and beat) every FF game but IX, and prefer the titles before VII, overall.

The DS version of IV is, by far, the most difficult instalment of the game to date. I hope they make a PSP instalment and raise the difficulty even more.

To be truthful, I like the Tales Series far better than the Final Fantasy Series. The plots aren't as... strange. FF VII felt like taking some roller coaster ride, and some of that games moments flet LSD induced.

But, back to what I'm playing in the now... I beat Demon Wall in IV, got to the moon, and watched our dear Cecil freak out... fans of this title will know what he's having a meltdown over. I find that the Elemental Archfiends are quite difficult in this version, but I will beat them... XD The problem I have (as usual) is that status effects are carried over and that my poor little Paladin is not quite a high enough level (even though he's 12 whole levels higher than Edge, my lowest leveled character) to be able to support the team on his back as in past boss battles. That means that I can ultimately look forward to hours of level grinding that Cecil doesn't need, but Edge and Rydia do (becuase FuSoYa cannot be bothered with changing his stats, and leveling up as him is a superficial process. The only way to raise his health is to use Silver or Gold Apples - rare items indeed). My Rosa is just fine, she never ever dies. Her Magic Defense and normal Defense are high enough that I don't worry about it at all.

Anyway, now that I'm done whining , I can talk about the game from the standpoint of voice acting... the only voice that I loathe in that game is Kain's. It's too deep, and I never imagined him sounding that way at all. I have a problem with Cid's voice, but can't complain becuase it fits him. My overall fave voice is Rosa's, it's comforting, just as I always imagined it to be. Cecil is a very close second, as I find his voice to be interesting and oddly fitting of him.
The Graphics are very beautiful for a DS game, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (that' s my art teachers fault) and I like the opening CG, it's awesome. Sometimes the load times are a bit slow, but it's a great game (and fairly true to the original).

Good luck on MMZ3, Penelopi. XD

I'm also playing the after years. Does anyone else think Ceodore's name is... tacky?

My obsession with FFIV has caused me to fall in love with a "certain track" on Redemption/Betrayal on OCR... I walk down the halls humming Clacabrina music (among other songs).

Currently? Gamer Girl here has been playing Dissida Final Fantasy... and loving Cecil Harvey of FFIV.

Seriously, I'll take on anyone who says that Cloud Strife is the most amazing FF hero in history, becasue he's not. Even in the original game (which I also picked up and LOVE) Cecil was better.

Anyway, consider playing this game if you're a hardcore FF fan like me.

I want you all to know that this community helped me in a time of need, and even if I don't show up here all of the time... even if it seems like I don't care about NiGHTS as much as I used to... that you all mean alot to me, and I will stand by this fanbase, even if I am a "shadow user."

And never forget your spirit or forsake your passions, because you'll be empty if you do.

That's all.

Thanks for saying I have good taste, Penelopi.

I agree, Shadow pulling the "resurection" thing was cheap. Only Megaman villians should be able to do that. ^_-

I see your point, but I still think ToS qualifies as a "cult classic," much like NiGHTS...

Another game with underappreciated music... hm... have to go with Baiten Kaitos.

I get what you mean about Mega, but I appreciate the Tales comment.

Though I'm not sure Tales of Symphonia counts, either, because it has what could basically be considered an online cult dedicated to its worship.

A game called Brain Lord, made by Enix, actually has a half-way decent soundtrack, too.

I'll probably do what I always do and... sing Dreams Dreams Christmas night.

Ornaments are good, though... maybe I should deviate NiGHTS Christmas themed stuff this year?

Tekken DOES have some good tracks.

Know what else does? The Mega Man games.
Seriously, look up "Mega Man Music" on YouTube sometime. Some of the NES era stuff blows my mind.

Tales of (an underated RPG series) games are also known for hardcore soundtracks, but Summoning Spirits on OCR has come and gone... oh well.

I particularly like the remix of Kratos Aurion's theme, though I'd appreciate it more if the pace was a bit... faster.

God, I wish that my dearest fanbase had had this much passion and respect for their characters. It makes me regret of not taking notice of my fanbase sooner.

I'm glad you really hardcore (not caual like me) NiGHTS fans are doing something and getting a response. It makes me wish I'd done something sooner, but I'm glad for you. You have someone's respect, and that takes alot to earn.

I will support NiGHTS so he doesn't fade into the bulwark, just like the ToS characters...
